AARP Smart Driver Course Discounted Rate for AARP Medicare Supplement Insureds in GA and NJ

Valid now through October 31, 2018, current insured members enrolled in an AARP® Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan, insured by UnitedHealthcare® Insurance Company residing in Georgia and New Jersey have the opportunity to take advantage of a special discounted rate on the AARP Smart Driver™ course.*

What’s the AARP Smart Driver™ course?

The course may help insured members drive safer and smarter as they age by adapting to changes in reaction time, identifying how some medications may impair driving, understanding new car technologies and much more.

Individuals completing the course may qualify for a multi-year discount from their auto insurance company. Insured members can visit AARP.org/drive for complete details about the AARP Smart Driver™ course.

Communications about the AARP Smart Driver™ course
As of July 10, 2018, insured members residing in Georgia and New Jersey began receiving marketing materials such as an introduction letter and a promotional brochure. Both materials provide details about the course, discount information, how to register for it and where to learn more.

Participation in the AARP Smart Driver™ course is completely voluntary and participation will not impact an insured member’s health coverage.

How do current Georgia insured members sign up for the course?
Insured members in Georgia can sign up for the course at a discounted rate in one of two ways:

In-person Class: For just $10 (that’s $5 off the AARP member rate of $15) insured members may locate and attend a local class by calling 1-877-846-3299 or going online to AARP.org/MSLocator and entering their ZIP code. To receive this discounted rate, insured members must register and take the course before 10/31/2018 and bring the introduction letter (with the image of a car on it) that they received in the mail to the class.2

Online: To register and take the course online, insured members may go to AARP.org/MSSignUp and enter code GAMSUP1801 to pay the special rate of $15 (a discounted rate from the AARP member rate of $19.95). The insured member must register before 10/31/2018 and take the course within 60 days of registering.

How do current New Jersey insured members sign up for the course?
Insured members in New Jersey can sign up for the course at a discounted rate in one of two ways:

• In-person Class: For just $10 (that’s $5 off the AARP member rate of $15) insured members may locate and attend a local class by calling 1-877-846-3299 or going online to AARP.org/MSLocator and entering their ZIP code. To receive this discounted rate, insured members must register and take the course before 10/31/2018 and bring the introduction letter (with the image of a car on it) that they received in the mail to the class.2
