Updated GoHealth Commission Processing Guidelines – Effective 1/1/2017

There have been a few significant updates, including the following:

  • Escrow – GoHealth will begin applying a flat escrow of 2.5% to all new advance loan commissions, which is a significant reduction to the current escrow percentage. However, please note that the escrow cap will be eliminated as a result. Additionally, chargebacks will be applied to earned commissions and not escrow, therefore not reducing the funds being held in escrow. For additional information, please refer to the Escrow section of the Commission Processing Guidelines.
  • Administrative Fee – GoHealth will apply a flat 1% per month administrative fee to outstanding debit balances. This is the same fee which has been applied in the past, but is being applied to all carriers who provide advance loan commissions. For additional information, please refer to the Advances section of the Commission Processing Guidelines.
  • New Carriers – Information regarding Anthem, HCSC Senior, Medico and National General have been added.
  • Carrier Specific Items – There have been many updates to the Carrier Specific section of the Commission Processing Guidelines; please refer to each respective carrier section for related updates.

The items above, as well as all updates reflected in the new Commission Processing Guidelines, will become effective on January 1, 2017.
