Updated Humana Appointment Guidelines

Historically, agents have been able to become appointed with Humana Individual products under one agency and Humana Medicare products under a different agency.  Due to Humana’s onboarding system changes, new and transferring agents must have both appointments, if both appointments are requested, under the same agency.

For example, if an agent is under Agency A for Medicare and Agency B for Individual, but requests to transfer Medicare to GoHealth, both Medicare and Individual appointments must be released by Agencies A and B, respectively.  The agent does not have to maintain both appointments under GoHealth, so if the agent chooses to only maintain Medicare under GoHealth, the Individual appointment would be terminated.

Agents who are currently appointed under one agency for Individual and another agency for Medicare will not be impacted unless the agent attempts to transfer to another agency.
