Certification & Recertification Details for Plan Year 2022

The Certification and Recertification launch dates, and other changes made to the Plan Year 2022 (PY22) Certification are finalized. The process is easier than ever with the newly expanded options for completing CMS required training portion: AHIP or NAHU. Save the dates below and download the detailed guide for everything you need to know!

All PY22 Certification and Recertification courses will launch Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at noon EST

Partner agents will have until 5 pm EST on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 to complete Recertification

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois | 2022 MAPD/PDP Producer Training Coming Soon

The 2022 HCSC Product certification training will become available in the coming weeks. It will once again be housed on the HCSC/CMP platform under the AHIP umbrella.

The 2022 curriculum will consist of two sections:

Section 1 : AHIP Curriculum

  • Medicare Basics Course
  • Medicare Marketing Course
  • Non-Discrimination Disclosure
  • General Compliance & FWA Course and Exam

Section 2: HSCH Curriculum 

  • Sales Agent Requirements Course
  • HCSC Courses & Exam
  • Producer Certification Form
  • Producer Amendment (where applicable)

Both sections must be completed by all individual producers and sub-producers including agency principals. Producers and sub producers must complete all courses in order to be deemed certified to sell 2022 MAPD/PDP plans. Sub-producers are only deemed certified once the agency principal has completed his/her individual and agency certification tasks

2022 AHIP Medicare Training will launch on Monday, June 21. A launch email will be sent on this date including the training website link to access Section 1 of the certification training. Look out for the launch email for section 2 soon after.

2021 Medicare Curriculum Announcement

The 2021 AHIP course will not be available after June 17, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. CST.

As of Wednesday, July 7, producers seeking to complete the 2021 training will be assigned a dual plan year curriculum for both 2021 and 2022. The combined curriculum will satisfy the certification requirement for both 2021 and 2022.

New HCSC Appointment Process Now Available!

HCSC has launched its new appointment platform and is accepting appointments again!

The process for agents to request an appointment with HCSC has not changed; only the platform on which agents complete their appointment application has changed.

When GoHealth has processed an appointment request, the agent will receive an email from producer_service_center@hcsc.net with the subject line of “Onboarding Invitation.”  The email will contain a URL, user ID and a temporary password to begin the appointment process.

Please contact your Manager with any questions regarding the new process.
