Changes to Contracting Processes

Now that Aetna offers online self-service tools to make contracting updates with them, they no longer accept contracting requests by email. Also, make sure your agents are not already active with Medicare Supplement before using the agent onboarding tool. If the agent is already active, you’ll need to complete a hierarchy change request by fax instead.

Maintenance requests

The fastest and easiest way to request updates for existing contracts is to use their online agent maintenance tool. You can also fax them to us at 855-571-3847. Note: It takes about 3 days to process online requests, compared to about 15 days to process fax requests.

 

 

 

 

Note: These tools do not apply to Aetna Medicare Advantage plans (MA/MAPD). There is a separate contracting process to sell that product.
